The data for this HaLRGB image are from the Moana Project (
https://erellaz.com/cdk-14-moravian-c5/). The system consists of a CDK14 telescope equipped with a Moravian C5 100 camera. The observatory is located in central Texas. The data were provided as calibrated and stacked master images for R, G, and B, as well as Ha, OIII, and SII data. A total of 3.7 hours of RGB and 15.7 hours of NB data were provided. I used the SetiAstro continuum subtraction utility to create a Ha image that was then added to the linear RGB image using pixelmath. The combined image was then color-calibrated using SPCC. The image shown here is an HaLRGB image that utilized a super luminance created by combining all of the data. The image was reduced in size by 50% due to Astrobin file size limitations. GraXpert 3.0.2 was used to remove gradients. Otherwise all the processing was done in Pixinsight, with minor adjustments using Photoshop.
The second version was reprocessed from the start. No Ha was added to the RGB. Gradientcorrection was used to remove gradients. As above, a super-luminance was used for the LRGB. The method of combining the L with the RGB followed the procedure outlined in this video from Pixinsight:
